MENTOR Maryland Foster Care

Become a Foster Parent

At MENTOR Maryland, we believe every child deserves to grow up in a loving family. Our goal is to provide youth at risk with nurturing supports in a family setting where they can heal and move forward. We also support some of the state’s most vulnerable children, including those with medically complex conditions. We can’t do that without caring foster parents to open their hearts to these deserving kids.

In our Therapeutic and Medically Fragile Foster Care programs, we call our foster parents Mentors because they do so much more than provide a home to a child in need—they help children grow and learn, forever changing their lives. As a Mentor for either youth at risk or infants with medical challenges, you will receive 24/7 support from our experienced team of professionals, opportunities to develop skills, and the reward of making a difference in a child’s life. Plus, the bonds of family you will create can last a lifetime.

Now is also a critical time for many older children and teenagers in our community, and you can begin your foster care journey with us from home. Our team is available for virtual meetings and phone calls to discuss any and all questions you may have about how to support youth in Maryland!
