Proven Success
As a partner of Sevita, MENTOR Maryland has access to the nation’s best thinking in human services and a successful track record of serving adults and children in home- and community-based settings.
About Us
Founded in 1990, MENTOR Maryland serves children and adolescents with mental health challenges, emotional and behavioral challenges, and medically complex needs. Sharing in the state’s commitment to the Place Matters initiative, we provide services designed to help children achieve their permanency goals and help them thrive at home, in school, and in the community.
In 2002, MENTOR Maryland formed a relationship with Family Advocacy Services, another Maryland provider, to expand our community-based programs and transitional services. Together Family Advocacy Services and MENTOR Maryland serve children at risk and their families, providing additional therapeutic foster care and independent living supports, including:
- Therapeutic Foster Care
- Medically Fragile Foster Care
- Behavioral Health Services
- Independent Living Services
- Teens in Transition
A Trusted Partner for Youth & Families
MENTOR Maryland is a proud member of the Maryland Association of Resources for Families and Youth (MARFY). MARFY is a dedicated organization that speaks out for children and families and providers they work with. Our collective influence on public policy is stronger because we have joined with other private, nonprofit service providers, advocates and business leaders to identify, develop, implement and urge support for efficient and effective services for Maryland’s most vulnerable children, families and individuals.
A Network of Quality
As a part of Sevita (previously The MENTOR Network), a national network of local human service providers, MENTOR Maryland provides those who work with us and those we serve the benefits of a strong national structure coupled with the specialized programs and localized services offered at various locations throughout Maryland. With many program offices across the state, the individuals we serve are often able to remain close to home and maintain important personal and community connections.
All of us at MENTOR Maryland and Sevita are united by our mission and values, which seek to enhance the lives of individuals we serve by building relationships and providing innovative, high quality, community-based care. Together we have access to shared resources, protocols and supports which help us to effectively achieve this mission.
MENTOR Maryland is proud to be a part of Sevita, leveraging its national structure and resources to provide cost-effective solutions, a career ladder for employees and the highest possible quality of care.
